Waste Entry in InsightsLite V2

The waste entry page is for wasting products from specific batches. Products are sorted by batches and gives a clear view of open batches, remaining quantity, and expiration status.
The waste entry page is useful when batch tracking is enabled in store settings.
All staff roles can use the waste entry page.
Waste Entry is under the Execution tab on the side bar.
NOTE
Batch data is cached locally for offline viewing.
Filters
a. Search: Look up by product name, batch ID, UPC, or product code.
b. Prep Zone: Filter to only see products at one prep zone.
c. Product: Filter to only show batches of one product.
d. Lookback Slider: Use the slider to adjust the time window.
e. Summary: Gives a summary of the number of batches, total remaining product quantity, active, and expired products.
f. Status Filters: Click Active or Expired to only view batches with that status
TIPS & TRICKS
- Use the lookback slider to see older batches if you need to waste something from a previous day.
- Click the expired status filter to see all batches that need immediate attention.
Batch Cards
Batch cards show each product batch and its information.
A batch card only shows if there are remaining products. Once all products are wasted or sold, the batch card will disappear.
Each batch card includes:
- Product: Shows product name, product code, and image.
- Prep Zone: Where this batch is.
- Status: Whether the batch is Active or Expired.
- Batch ID: Unique number for the batch.
- Remaining: Quantity still left over from this batch.
- Made: Original quantity created.
- Age: How long since the batch was made.
- Started: Date and time the batch was made.
- Expires: Date and time the batch is set to expire.
- Waste Button: Waste items from this batch.

Waste Products
NOTE
Waste actions taken offline are queued and sync when connectivity returns.
1. Click Waste for a batch.
2. Type the Quantity.
3. Select the Waste Reason.
4. OPTIONAL: Type a Note.
5. Click Confirm Waste.
