Using DCG KioskHome for Tablet Access
DCG KioskHome is a proprietary app on the DateCodeGenie® tablet that restricts functions for DateCodeGenie purposes.
Kioskhome changes may be managed by your:
- Portal Administrator
- IT department
- DateCodeGenie Manager
- The location owner of the device
All DateCodeGenie models default to KioskHome as shown on the tablet home screen below. Access to KioskHome is located in the bottom right corner under Optional Settings (gear icon).
KioskHome changes are made through Admin Options and Manager Settings to meet each location's needs.
Admin Options
NOTE
Devices ship with the default password displayed, NCCO1905! for Admin Settings.
Changes made in Admin Options include:
- Clear blocked processes from the tablet
- Remove/add apps from the home screen for staff use
- Example: Gmail, Chrome, Settings, etc.
Manager Settings
NOTE
Devices ship with the default password displayed, 1234 for Manager Settings.
Changes made in Manager Settings include:
- Edit Manager settings to allow specified functions
- Example: Allow or not allow Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Date and Time, Display, Input Settings, Removing the Settings icon from the tablet home screen to restrict staff from other tablet functions.
