Duplicate Items
Creating duplicate item names in the portal can cause a number of issues.
Issues include:
- Errors during mass import
- Unable to select correct item in a prep list
- Product control waste tracking issues in app
- Unable to report which items in print history
- Wrong item being selected on the app
Instead of duplicate item names, we recommend:
- Giving items unique names, can be slightly different
- Making a similar item unique by inserting a period in front of the item name or adding a tag, like the location name, after the item.
