Duplicate Menu Items
Creating duplicate menu item names in the portal can cause a number of issues.
Issues include:
- Errors during mass import
- Unable to select correct menu item in a prep list
- Product control waste tracking issues in app
- Unable to report which menu items in print history
- Wrong menu item being selected on the app
Instead of duplicate menu item names, we recommend:
- Giving menu items unique names, can be slightly different
- Making a similar menu item unique by inserting a period in front of the menu item name or adding a tag, like the location name, after the menu item.
