Add a Dynamic QR Code and Dynamic QR Code Text to a Printer Profile
The dynamic QR code and dynamic QR code text are printer profile features designed for another system to read data.
- Dynamic QR code feature: Generates a unique QR code that contains set data fields.
- Dynamic QR code text feature: Generates the data in a text version as backup readable text that can be scanned by OCR software.
There are four QR code fields for data that can be added to both features based on your system's needs:
-
Facility Code: A location field for a short code used to identify the location. Facility codes are added to locations, see Manage Locations.
- For dynamic QR codes and text, set a facility code that can be read by your system.
- SKU: A menu item field for the SKU. SKUs are added to menu items, see Manage Menu Items.
-
Product ID: A menu item field for a menu item identifier other than SKU. Product IDs are added to menu items, see Manage Menu Items.
- For dynamic QR codes and text, set a product ID based that can be read by your system.
-
Batch Code: A auto-generated nine digit identifier unique for each print.
- The batch code comes from the Julian date followed by five digits that increase with each print (YYDDXXXXX).
- The five digit count resets at midnight.
NOTE
Make sure facility code, SKU, and product ID are set up if using those fields.
Different QR code fields can be added to each feature.
